I was quiet surprised that H&M got a new shipment of the Mathew Williamson line this past weekend. Unlike most that would go for his floral frocks and tunics, I was more drawn to this rich blue/green high waist color block pants. Though the shape and color made me think of the circus and penguins, I couldn't help but buying it! These photos don't do the color of the pants any justice.

The only color palette I could think of paring them is black or white to either make them stand out, or to tone down. I wore a f21 fur trim double breast coat, self cropped black muscle tee by gap, lace one piece from urban, and oxford pumps by aldo. I really need to go to my parents house...to visit them and to bring back my ysl pumps. I miss them both.

If you were to buy these pants, how would you wear them?

Okay, I love every single little piece you're wearing right now, from your pants to your amazing oxford shoes! Did you get them recently?? I've been searching high and low for a good affordable pair of oxfords!!

The lace top and the pants are amazing as well! I think I'd wear the pants with an unexpected color, like hot pink. Not sure if it would work but I'd want to try it out!

i wish i had time, but i don't think so. i'm hoping to make it to one store, rag o rama, which has probably one of the best selections of vintage i've ever seeeeeeeen. but we'll see!

as for these pants (great buy, lady) i would probably pair them with a plain white boy's tank, a huge gold statement necklace with lotsa gemstones, and some hot pink flats - like tiffany's suggestion! i think toning them down is definitely something to consider, but the line itself and matthew williamson in general is so bright and vibrant, i feel like you should definitely think about playing more into that vibe. =]

Love those pants on you!! I especially like the way you layer your lace one suit underneath! I think I would pair it with fitted cropped top with chunky necklace. xxoxoxoxo

I love that coat! You could go nautical with the pants by pairing them with a tight striped boatneck top and red heels?

pants are really cool. i bet they would look great with a simple white crop tee and a statement bib necklace. and i would probably cuff them and wear patent flat lace ups or go with sky high platforms.

the colour block of the trouser is so bold! i love how you wear it! They would look cool with a ruffly white shirt maybe? Or a basic coloured tank with a cool necklace? :)

love the idea of a striped boat neck top, i think i'll try to find one with bat wings instead of a tight one for more shape. great suggestions!

You look fabulous! Love the outfit. I agree with the other ladies about going with white next time just to show off the color of the pants more. But regardless you look lovely!

xo, Becs
